Current Development Slate
CirrusFilm’s current slate consists of original feature projects in development, stories grounded in character, place, and lived experience, and designed to move intentionally from concept to screen.
Set against the backdrop of Route 66 in the 1950s, 66 explores the collision of crime, power, and ambition. Following the homicides of two individuals along the historic highway, an innocent traveler becomes the target of a prosecution driven by a corrupt district attorney and his ally, a U.S. senator whose reach extends from the courtroom to the corridors of Washington.
Based on the 1980 Santa Fe Prison Riot, one of the deadliest prison uprisings in American history, The Santa Fe Rage Academy examines the human cost and aftermath of an event that left 33 inmates dead. Unflinching, researched, and grounded in historical record and lived experience.
Centered on a pilot returning from a Lake Havasu weekend to Phoenix, Final Approach blends grounded drama with sharp, character-driven humor. A wise-guy tone undercuts an intimate story about responsibility, consequence, and the moments that define us mid-flight.
Sequitur is a psychological thriller centered on a homicide detective drawn into a dangerous affair with the wife of a powerful industrialist. As the relationship deepens, she convinces him to exploit his position and gather information beyond the limits of protocol under the guise of an impending divorce. What begins as secrecy escalates into manipulation, betrayal, and a carefully constructed plan that pulls both of them toward irreversible consequences.
