Billy Garberina


Billy has been referred to by the Albuquerque Journal as an “Indie Film Guru.” His extensive forays in micro-budget cinema and his varied talents more than back that up. He has directed five feature length films and has produced six.

His productions include the award winning Necroville. Of note, was his trifecta of work as director of photography, 2nd unit director and leading role in the ensemble cast of the Lionsgate distributed western, “The Righteous & The Wicked.” Billy has appeared in starring roles in well over 2 dozen indie films that have appeared on shelves and screens around the world.

He holds a 2nd degree black belt in Kenpo Karate as recognized by the IKKA, and has studied Aikido for an additional five years. He also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from the University of New Mexico.

His broad body of work can readily be found on all popular venues, including Amazon, Netflix and Hastings. His video work includes industrial, commercial, training, documentary and socially conscious projects. His capstone project at NYU earned him an award in his master level studies at the Silver School of Social Work.

He is no stranger to the trials of production from initial development through distribution/exhibition. He can get it done right, on budget and on schedule.
